These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the VUMA mobile application and website (vumastore.store), operated by VUMA Marketplace Limited ("VUMA", "we", "us", or "our"), a company registered in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. By creating an account or using VUMA, you agree to these Terms.

1. Who We Are

VUMA is a marketplace platform connecting independent sellers with customers across Tanzania. VUMA facilitates listings, orders, and payments, but individual products are sold by third-party sellers, not by VUMA directly, unless otherwise stated.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, to create a VUMA account. By registering, you confirm the information you provide is accurate and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

3. Accounts

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
• VUMA may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in fraud, or abuse the platform

4. Orders & Payments

• All prices are displayed in Tanzanian Shillings (TZS) unless stated otherwise
• Payments are processed via licensed mobile money partners (including AzamPay and mobile network operators). VUMA does not store your mobile money PIN
• An order is confirmed only once payment has been successfully processed
• VUMA reserves the right to cancel orders in cases of pricing errors, stock unavailability, or suspected fraud

5. Sellers

• Sellers on VUMA must complete identity and business verification before listing products
• Sellers are responsible for the accuracy of their product listings, pricing, and stock levels
• VUMA charges sellers a commission on completed sales, as disclosed during seller registration
• VUMA may remove listings or suspend seller accounts that violate these Terms or applicable law

6. Delivery

Delivery timelines are estimates and may vary based on seller location, courier availability, and destination. VUMA is not liable for delays caused by circumstances outside its reasonable control, including weather, courier disruptions, or incorrect delivery information provided by the customer.

7. Refunds & Cancellations

Refund eligibility and process are governed by our separate Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

8. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• List or purchase illegal, counterfeit, or prohibited goods
• Use the platform for fraudulent transactions or money laundering
• Attempt to circumvent VUMA's payment or commission systems
• Harass, abuse, or defraud other users

9. Intellectual Property

The VUMA name, logo, and app design are the property of VUMA Marketplace Limited. Sellers retain rights to their own product content but grant VUMA a license to display it on the platform.

10. Limitation of Liability

VUMA acts as a marketplace facilitator. To the maximum extent permitted by law, VUMA is not liable for disputes between buyers and sellers, product quality issues, or indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the platform.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of VUMA after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania.
